Preparation! How many times have you heard this but it is paramount in Roof Restoration.

There are certain steps to follow which is outlined below to create the ultimate look and protection for your roof.

STEPS TO FOLLOW FOR THE ULTIMATE LOOK AND PROTECTION

1. INSPECTION - The entire roof is inspected for damaged tiles, loose or missing bedding/cement and moss/lichen.

2. REPAIR / REPLACE - Damaged tiles and faulty volley irons are replaced.

3. CLEAN - The roof is cleaned using high pressure, and the wash water is directed away in an evironmentally friendly way.

4. REBED - All ridge capping is rebedded, where required.

5. REPOINT - Ridge capping is then repointed with a flexible acrylic pointing mix.

6. STERILISE - (If necessary) Fungal and Algal spoilage must be completely destroyed before re-coating, if not the growth will continue, resulting in a potential failure.

7. PRIMER / SEALER - The entire roof area is coated with an acrylic sealer/primer to ensure strong adhesion with Roof coatings.

8. ROOF COATINGS - TWO coats is applied for the ultimate protection, durablilty, colour retention and weather proofing.

The treatment of metal roofs and colorbond roofs includes high pressure cleaning, repair and spot priming of any damages/faulty areas. Then application of a good quality acrylic metal roof primer followed by two coats of AQUABED enhanced roof coating.
